• STEP 4: You follow the included instructions for adding any supporting financial or hardship details.
• STEP 5: You follow the instructions that tell you exactly how to discuss your case with your lender.
• STEP 6: If all goes well your lender agrees to new terms, and sends you an agreement to sign.
• STEP 7: You make any temporary reduced payments agreed upon until your modification finalizes with your lender, thus maintaining your mortgage as current and preventing any foreclosure proceedings.
• STEP 8: Generally after 3 months of making your lower payment, you will contacted by your lender with the news that the modification is complete, and your finally agreed upon payments will continue through the term of your new mortgage.
